Path: Home / Film Productions / Anchor Me

When Nathan discovers his mother is dying of cancer he journeys home to encourage his family to finally confront the accidental death of his youngest brother Michael. But his parents and older brother continue to insist that the best way to deal with grief is to keep quiet. Nathan finds solace is in the arms of his childhood sweetheart who now happens to be his sister-in-law.
"Anchor Meî has a depth and resonance surprising in mainstream ITV drama.
Independent On Sunday
Iain Glen has a deft touch: he brings a sensitive complexity to this searing, sentimental and carefully considered tale of a family unravelling. The flashbacks are beautifully handled and with a script so tight it's almost workable without the pictures.
The Daily Telegraph
The ubiquitous Iain Glen stars in this two-part drama. It's an excellently well performed ensemble piece and the portrait of family life with it's and resentments is very convincing.
Time Out
Ashley Pharoah's script is believable and finely acted by all, as ghosts are laid to rest, passions rekindled and lessons finally learnt.
